* Prof. GertJan van Heijst has become a Fellow of Euromech.

* The EUROMECH Council has appointed prof. Detlef Lohse as chairperson of the
   EUROMECH European Turbulence Conference Committee (ETCC) for a six-year
   term from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2015.

* Prof.dr. Jan Sengers (sengers@ipst.umd.edu) (member of the Board of the
Burgers Program of the University of Maryland) has been selected as this
year's recipient of the Distinguished International Service Award of the
University of Marlyland.
